Caterpillar has unveiled eight new models in its next generation line of Skid Steer Loaders (SSL) and Compact Track Loaders (CTL). This latest release includes four new SSLs – the Cat 250, 260, 270, and 270 XE – and four new CTLs – the Cat 275, 275 XE, 285, and 285 XE. These models introduce the next-gen design to the SSL range while expanding the CTL lineup, which now includes the largest CTLs ever built by Caterpillar with the Cat 285 and 285 XE. These models boast superior lift height and breakout forces, creating a new competitive class size. Building on the proven strengths of the Cat D3 series, these next generation machines deliver enhancements across the board. Caterpillar has reengineered the SSL and CTL models from the ground up, delivering improvements in engine performance, lift and tilt breakout forces, stability, operator comfort, and advanced technology integration.
